Terms of Service

The PounceApps apps are free software, provided “as is.” By installing or using any of them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the apps.

Last updated: 4 July 2026 · Applies to PounceSQL, PouncePad, RetroCode & MorselHub

License to use

PounceApps grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the apps on macOS devices you control, for personal or business use. Don't sell them, or remove or alter their notices.

Your data, files & databases

The apps run on your Mac and act on data you choose. You are responsible for your credentials, your files, the queries you run, and the data you access. PounceSQL's AI assistant and MCP tools are read-only by default — non-SELECT statements run only if you enable them. Test against non-production data before using these tools on anything you care about.

Third-party AI providers

If you enable AI, your prompts and context are sent to the provider you configure (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, your organization's gateway, or a local model). Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies. PounceApps doesn't control third-party providers.

MorselHub & Messages

MorselHub relays messages you route through it (e.g. iMessage) to the AI provider you configure. You are responsible for the messages you route and for having permission to do so. Message handling happens on your Mac; macOS asks your permission before MorselHub can access Messages.

Acceptable use

Use the apps lawfully. Do not use them to access systems or data you aren't authorized to access, to violate any law or third-party rights, or to attempt to disrupt any service.

No warranty

The apps are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. They are under active development and may contain errors.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PounceApps and Steven S. Sparks will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the apps. Because the software is free, total liability is limited to what you paid (nothing).
